Last week cakes made a great post about making money with affiliate blogs. I really want to brush up on my SEO so I’m going to make my first ever content site (besides this one). I’m going to document everything that I am going to be doing from revenues to traffic. I know the basics of SEO but never applied anything (I don’t SEO this blog at all) hopefully this will be a good learning experiance for me and all the readers.
The Marketing Plan for Week one:
Monday (day 1):
- Pick a Niche
- Make a list of affiliate offers for that niche
- Buy a Domain(get hosting too if you don’t yet have this)
- Find 15 keywords to try and rank for
Tuesday (day2):
- Write the first 5 articles (all based on 1 keyword each)
- Wow… That was lots of writing. Lets take the rest of the day off…
Wednesday (day 3):
- Install Wordpress
- Install the Google Site Map Plugin and the All in One SEO plugin
- Make a list of 25 blogs and 5 forums in your niche
- Create a Google webmasters account & put analytics on the site
Thursday (day 4):
- Upload your first 5 articles
- Set up your site map and submit it to Google webmasters
- Make 1 comment on all 25 blogs found on Wednesday
- Write 1 forum post on the 5 forums found Wednesday
Friday (day 5):
- That was a long week… lets take Friday off ïŠ. We can just through in some more comments and forum posts over the weekend when we aren’t feeling lazy.
Nickycakes is right, it is next to nothing to setup a website, especially if you already have a host. My hosting is $5 a month, and I got 2 free domains. I set up my second for tracking campaings and landing pages. But If I wanted to add a new domain, just 10 bucks for the year and its mine. If you can’t make that off Adsense then your a retard. Make a few landing pages on it and it is a winner. Should get a decent QS if it is an actual site with content like this one. PPC traffic to the landing pages, and there is tons of potential. Even if they don’t convert on the offer, they may click an adsense ad, or something else he offers.
