When on my dummy account the other day I noticed something very intersting. At the bottom of every ad I was able to rate it by giving it a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Has Anyone ever noticed this before? I remember they used to have a “report” link but I have never seen anything like this. Anyway here is a screenshot:

When I noticed this I was browsing Facebook on a dummy account where I am a 23 year old women from Canada. I have never seen this before on my personal account and it is something I found to be very interesting and worth sharing. It seems as though they are testing this feature with women first as I still do not see it when browsing on my male accounts.

I’ve seen it on my male accounts…my guess is that they’re using this more to target ads to you rather than any type of editorial action (ie: too many thumbs down = ban). Also, I noticed that if I thumbs down a whole bunch of ads in a row, they will stop showing ads for me and the ad board will be cleared.
