Alright guys I wanted to test out the webcam on my aspire one so I made a quick video that simply introduces what I’m going to be blogging about over the next couple days. The quality is pretty bad but hey it works! anyway here is a quick video for ya:
Video Summary:
It is kind of ironic how a week after Facebook offered advertising coupons and thus encouraging lots of new affiliates to give their system a try they became extremely strict about what we can and can’t promote. The biggest thing they clamped down on was obviously our ads. This seemed to leave the blogasphere with an abundance of posts about how Facebook wont approve their ads. Alan at AffiliateConfession.com has written a few and the most recent one I cam across was over at affiliatemarketingwithryan.com.
The thing that surprises me most as that most people consider it a “failure” just because they can’t get their ads through. On one hand this is extremely good for me! While 75% of people are giving up before they even get started it leaves us established Facebook marketers with less competition and cheaper clicks. Obviously this is good for me and why you wont find me complaining about the recent change. On the other hand I feel kind of bad because to many people are missing out on some easy income once they figure things outs. Like anything their is a learning curve (though not nearly as large as adwords) and what I plan to do for the rest of the week is write a mini series on tricks I use to get my ads approved.
So if you having trouble getting stuff approved on Facebook don’t give up! Just Check back to my blog at the end of the week, or ad me to you RSS and you’ll have some great tips to get your ads approved without sacrificing CTR!
Besides the one slap I got this

Hey Neil, I’m definitely interested in your mini-series. I realized my blog video that you linked to left out the fact that I’ve also had a few campaigns approved and running, but didn’t see much sales. Maybe I should re-record.
But anyway, I’ll follow along here, looking forward to it.
Cheers,
Ryan
Neil….you picked a good topic. Personally, I was just starting to get some ads through with decent CTR/conversions and now everything is being shot down. Most of which are email/zip/short form submits. I think you will attract a lot of readers with this series as it is an ongoing problem for most people that are new to FB. I think it will be important that you say whether or not you are playing by the rules or doing something else such as cloaking or switching links. Regardless, I look forward to the series. Take care.

Awesome! I look forward to seeing the series.
Sounds good! I’m looking forwards to this series too - Facebook Ads are really wacky in approval.
Hey Neil, Thanks for the link and the mention in the video. Looking forward to the posts. Sorry man, you won’t get rid of me that easy on Facebook, I’m hangin’ in there. Besides, I found a couple offers that are getting me a trickle of income right now.
Neil,
Really looking forward to seeing your upcoming posts. I am really starting to like Facebook, I have pretty good luck so far.
